Last week, I was commissioned to take commercial photographs at Biogen, at their Atherstone location, Warwickshire for use in their PR and for marketing visuals. Biogen is the UK’s leader in anaerobic digestion plant installation and management, promoting food waste recycling as a sustainable source of energy.
I have to say that I was really intrigued to see the AD plant, only commissioned in August 2015, especially to see the festive food waste which was being brought in to the site, and to find out about the process of it being transformed into renewable energy.
According to their news piece, “A staggering 15,000 tonnes of festive food, the same weight as 45 Boeing 747’s, was transformed into renewable energy by food waste recycling leaders Biogen over the holiday season.” The figures are truly amazing and seeing it in person was a real education!
I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the processing and recycling of the waste to generate electricity for the national grid and a high quality biofertiliser for farmland, captured in a series of photographs.
Commercial photography of this nature is really the only way to illustrate the scale and size of the operation, as you can see from the main image which has been selected to add visual impact to the news article.
If we can help you to provide visual illustrations for your business or services, please contact us – we are always happy to discuss your requirements.
